The first Lindenberg technical laboratory was set up in 1966 in Cremona, the city renowned for its lute-making traditions.

The first biological and toxicological analyses on natural pyrethrins, taken from the well-known composite flower originally from Dalmatia, date back to 1968 and led to the production of a domestic insecticide harmless to man, an alternative to toxic DDT. A combination of age-old knowledge, based on the use of active substances from the vegetable kingdom (man has known about pyrethrum for over one thousand years), and its re-elaboration and application in avant-garde techniques: this is the philosophy behind production.
